Chef Margarita Isabel L. Marty holds a degree in business management, complemented by a master's in entrepreneurship from Asian Institute of Management in 2002. Transitioning into the realm of culinary arts, her culinary journey began in Glion Hotel School, Switzerland (known then as Hosta Hotel & Tourism School), then interred in Hotel Du Port, Switzerland as a cook, waitress and bartender. She then went on to be the Catering Sales Executive in Shangri-la Hotel Manila, the Restaurant Manager for Flavours & Spices, Greenbelt, and opened up her first restaurant called Excellent Adventures.

She went back to her business management roots, serving as the Director/Treasurer for Credit Post Inc. However, the call to serve people through food is so strong that she eventually started working with food again while also working for Credit Post Inc.

She became a Part-time Food Service Instructor for Punlaan School, then became a Consultant for Blue Cow Cafe. In 2006, she moved to the US where she worked in Tribu Grill & Mana restaurant in both the front and back of the house. She then went on to be the Food and Culinary Content Consultant for The Standard/The Social Standard.

Chef Margarita became the Catering Manager of Cibo di M, managing both the Lusso & Grace Park Dining and Cibo di M Catering during that time. Eventually, she started becoming the Part-time Culinary Arts Faculty for De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.

She has also attended the Judge Training Seminar and participated as the Rookie Judge in the Philippine Culinary Cup, then became the Rookie Judge in the Food Hotel Asia Culinary Cup. She served as a Judge in the Philippine Culinary Cup in 2019, 2022, and 2023 — fully committing to her dedication to be the culinary expert that she is.

Chef Margarita is currently the Chef Consultant for The Picnic Kitchen Catering & Canteen Service, and the current Program Chair for the Culinary Track in De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, and is currently the Director for Memberships at LTB Philippines Chefs Association.
