Last 17 April 2010, our LTB Scholars from Cebu, Bacolod and Iloilo were treated to a familiarization tour of the the Hotel Celeste Boutique Hotel on Arnaiz Avenue. The tour was led by no less than Chef Cyrille Soenen, Chef Patron of Restaurant Cicou, the boutique hotel's fine dining restaurant.
After the hotel tour, the LTB Scholars visited Santis Deli Werdenberg International Corporation and EuroSwiss Sausage Factory. Ms. Goldie San Luis of WIC showed the scholars the inner workings of a world class deli and distribution company, while Master Butcher Hubert Weber gave a private tour of the sausage factory's operations and a special sampling of sausages.
One of the goals of the LTB Culinary Scholarship Program is to expose our scholars to the latest trends and standards of the hospitality industry. We are grateful to our LTB members for their support and generosity for sharing their time and resources with our scholars.
