LTB Scholars 2012

Dear Chefs and Friends,

We would like to thank you all for your support of our LTB Culinary Scholarship Program. Since 2006 over 100 teachers from all over the Philippines have successfully complete our scholarship program thanks to your generosity and support!

We are happy to announce that for 2012 our 16 scholars from Laguna Cavite Tarlac Pampanga Iloilo Capiz Antique and Cebu received a 16 day training program at International School for Culinary Arts & Hotel Management (ISCAHM). They were welcomed with a cocktail reception at Chesa Bianca hosted by LTB President Othmar Frei. Our scholars also visited the Euro Swiss Sausage Factory to see how hams and sausages are made professionally and the Werdenberg International Corporation offices to see how imported food products are stored and distributed to hotels and restaurants. Also they visited the Unilever Test Kitchen where had a private demonstration by the Unilever Chefs. Culminating at their graduation lunch at Aubergine Restaurant.

Special thanks to Chef Norbert Gandler and the ISCAHM Chefs for tirelessly sharing their knowledge and experiences with our scholars. Thank you to LTB President Othmar Frei and the WIC Team especially Goldie San Luis and Pierre Benedict for sharing their time with the scholars. Thank you to Chef Janice Lazaga at Unilever for hosting their demo. Thank you to Gastro Chef for providing the knife kits for our scholars. But most of all thanks to you our LTB Members and friends! Without your generosity and attendance at the Chefs Table this would not be possible!

Looking forward to seeing you at future LTB events and projects!

with warm regards

J. Gamboa
