First WACS Judging Seminar in the Philippines - August 5 2014

Dear Chefs and Members,

I am happy to report that LTB Philippines Chefs Association recently held the very first World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) judging Seminar in the Philippines last August 5, 2014 at the MilkyWay Cafe Makati City. A total of 14 chefs (8 local and 6 international), attended the 1- day seminar given by WACS Continental Director and Singapore Airlines Executive Chef Dr. Rick Stephen. Attendees received instruction on the WACS standards and procedures for judging culinary competitions. This is important to ensure that all WACS endorsed culinary competitions such as the Philippine Culinary Cup (PCC) are judged using the same set of rules regulations and standards as other WACS competitions worldwide such as the FHA Singapore Culinaire Malaysia and Hong Kong Culinary Classic to name a few. After the seminar attendees trained with WACS accredited judges at the PCC to experience firsthand the ins and outs of WACS competition judging. The judges in training made scores for entries, however these were not counted in the final tally.
