Greetings from LTB Philippines Chefs Association!
As we approach LTB-WACS International Chefs Day on October 20, 2015 a day wherein all WACS member associations give back to our community and celebrate our profession, one of our members, Mr. Bernard Flour of Le Cellier French Wine Selection has brought to our attention a worthy outreach project that we believe LTB Philippines Chefs can easily support.
The Northern Rizal Yorklin School (NRYS) through the assistance of Rotary Club of Manila Metro District 3810 is building a cooking school for their less fortunate students in order to gain livelihood skills in basic cooking and pastry.
They are requesting the following:
The Yorklin School Proposed Culinary Center
A. Location: Ground floor of Northern Rizal Yorklin School (NRYS) in Caloocan City
B. Floor Area: 25 ft. x 55 ft. = 1,375 ft^2
C. Purpose: For use by all Home Economic Classes, Senior High School Classes, Circle of love, Livelihood Training/Cooking Classes (as co-sponsored by RCMM)
D. General Description: The Center shall house equipment and utensils that may accommodate four (4) groups of 8 to 10 students/group. It shall have the facilities for lessons, demonstrations and practicum in Cookery, Bread and Pastry Production, Baking, Food and Beverage Services.
