LTB Philippines Chefs association at the World Chefs Without Borders Myanmar Tour of Humanity

Dear Members and Friends,
 
On May 2, 2008, Cyclone Nargis hit the Irrawaddy River Delta in Myanmar. According to official figures, at least 138,000 fatalities. A total of 37 townships were significantly affected by the cyclone. The U.N. estimates that as many as 2.4 million people were affected. From June 9-11, 2018, World Chefs Without Borders (WCWB), the Myanmar Chefs Association and over 40 chefs from all over the world, conducted the WCWB Myanmar Tour of Humanity to feed approximately 12,000 individuals in the affected areas. LTB Philippines Chefs Association sent its members, Chef Buddy Trinidad and Chef J.A. Ventura to assist in the feeding project.
 
On June 9, Chef Buddy Trinidad prepared desserts for the fundraiser gala dinner at Pullman Hotel, Yangon.
On June 10, Chef J.A. Ventura along with other chefs prepared 4,000 meals at Swedagon Pagoda.
On June 11, Chef J.A. Ventura participated in the food preparation and distribution to 3 Villages along the Irrawaddy River Delta serving over 7,800 hot meals and 7,950 Relief Packs to the villagers.
