Northern Rizal Yorklin School Livelihood Culinary Center

Dear Chefs and Members,

In commemoration of LTB – WorldChefs International Chefs Day 2015 on October 14, through the generous donations in cash and kind of our membership, LTB Philippines Chefs Association donated various cooking equipment and utensils for the Northern Rizal Yorklin School Livelihood Culinary Center in Caloocan City.

Special thanks goes to our member, Mr. Bernard Flour for introducing us to Ms. Elizabeth Chua Co, Principal of the Northern Rizal Yorklin School.  Mr. Flour and his Rotary Metro Manila District 3810 generously contributed funds for the construction of the livelihood training kitchen at the school and requested LTB Philippines Chefs Association to help equip the kitchen.

LTB Philippines Chefs Association is dedicated to the development of the professional Filipino chef.  We are confident that this kitchen equipment will assist the school in introducing the students to the culinary arts as a source of livelihood and ultimately as a profession.

Furthermore, 2 slots have been reserved for teachers of the Yorklin School for the LTB Culinary Scholarship Program 2016 .  This program aims to improve the level of culinary training in schools by providing qualified hotel and restaurant instructors with 15-day culinary and sanitation course at the International School of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management (ISCAHM) in Katipunan, Quezon City.  LTB Philippines Chefs Association will provide tuition, textbooks, chef’s uniforms and tools to the scholars. Aside from these, scholars will be brought on educational trips to hotels, restaurants, food distribution purveyors and a special dinner to meet member chefs and industry professionals.

We wish the Yorklin School the best of luck on their new livelihood culinary center and thank the membership for their generous support!

Sincerely,
